Hello to all those who are reading. This is Ashley.
I just wanted to take a quick moment to tell you all how thankful I am for everything you have done, are doing, and continue to do. I know that I have been a little MIA as for blog posts, calls, or facebook messages. I am currently trying to take one thing at a time and really focus on what my body is telling me. I can't emphasize enough what wonderful-in-laws I have! They are keeping me in check.
I also wanted to take a minute to express my love to all of you who have wanted to come to visit but are respecting our wishes and keeping the fires alive on the home front. This has been such a difficult request, especially for some of our immediate family members. We appreciate their great sacrifice to support the current needs of this situation.
Again thank you for all the love and support!!
Ashley
Dear Ashley,
ReplyDeleteKen and I pray for you and Scott and the rest of your family every day. This is an awful thing that has happened to you, and we are incredibly sad for you. However,we are filled with hope for Scott's complete recovery, we just wish it could be faster. The ward will be fasting for you both today, there is power in so much faith. God loves us more that we can ever know and he does work miracles. Our hearts and prayers are with you. Love, Ken and Elise
So good to be updated, thanks Ashley. We are keeping an eye on your house here and it sounds like you are getting some awesome support there with Scott's family. I just want to tell you how touched and concerned everyone is, every time I talk to someone from the ward or school, eyes all get teary at the mention of Scott. He has touched alot of lives, and everyone is rooting for him (and you!). I was jsut thinking about the last time Charlotte was playing with Scott-- a couple Sundays ago she crawled under the church pew and ou guys played with her. I looked over at Scott just in time to see Charlotte's toungue go right across his shaved head. She thought it was hilarious and was trying to eat his ears too. He laughed it off, but was covered in baby slobber. We love you.
ReplyDeleteHey Ashley, It's Jon and Kara Barnes. I just wanted to let you know that we have been following your blog and have Scott in our thoughts and prayers! I am glad you have such strong support with you at this time.

Ashley,
DeleteBethany and I are praying for Scott and you daily. It is hard to see this happen and know I no longer have the mantle of being your Bishop. I know Bishop King will do a great job in helping the two of you.
Today, as I was studying, during my fast, I read Elder Quentin L. Cook's conference address. It is entitled "The Songs They Could Not Sing". I don't know if it will help, but as I studied the scriptural footnotes, I felt Heavenly Father's love surrounding me, especially for what you and Scott are going through.
Our prayers are with you.
Rob and Bethany Matthews.

ReplyDeleteThis Andersen family is doing a lot of praying for you and Scott. Levi says that Br. Moore is so strong he will be just fine! I know that is true! I thought this morning about your new little basil plant and i wondered how it was doing. I told Jen today that we would love to take care of it for you. We love you guys and are constantly praying for all the strength you both need to take care of all infront of you.
Ashley,
ReplyDeleteI am not a very religious person, so I have no wise quotes or phrases from current or former presidents of the church or of the quorum, or even scriptural for that matter...but, I am a spiritual person who knows the power of miracles and that God can do for us that we cannot do for ourselves. I pray for you two and the family everyday...for strength, courage, hope and love (and a speedy recovery)...I love you very much...
